P.S. There were no draftees (to my knowledge)in Maint on my first tour but we got several on my second tour. The 101 had a policy of going to some units after a fight and recruiting mechanics from the ranks of draftees who'd reenlist for a tour in the rear at a DS aviation unit and they were the ones who were sometimes not happy. In any case, I never rode my rank unless it was necessary. One thing I hated as an EM was a CS officer and I really tried to avoid that.
