Trying to locate: Jimmy L Lowrey
Branch of Service: Army
Unit was: 119th AHC
Where served: Plieku, Ahn Ke
When served: 1969-1970
Message is: Jimmy Lowrey was shot down in cambodia while flying with the 119th AHC Gun Platoon. He was captured by the VC and held in a tiger cage for four months until he killed one of his captors an escaped. He is not sure whether it was 1969 or 1970 but he believes it was around June 13th. The last three tail numbers of his ship were 460. He was the crew chief. I too am a VN Vet and Jim and I are closer than brothers as most of you will understand. I am trying to find anyone that knows any information about Jim during that period. He is catching alot of flack from the news media and the "know it alls" that say he is a phony. Please help if you can. A brother is in pain. Thank you and welcome home to all. It was sure to damn long before any of us heard that!
