Re: Herbicide Exposure Claims - VA Release

: So Mark,...........what does all that suppose
: to mean and how do we prove, if found to
: have symptoms, that they are related to
: spraying this crap? All we have are each
: other and the knowledge we sprayed it while
: in the 119th. We cannot prove it I don't
: think and if we could, we don't know all the
: procedures needed to file and follow thru
: with this. We're to say the least, screwed
: with 5 mi. of paper work and trying to get a
: Dr. to say, "Yeh it could be, but non
: conclusive as to being the direct
: cause". So...................

Carl, I am no expert, but my understanding is that you no longer need to make the connection you are talking about. If you can show to their satisfaction that you were actually on the ground in Vietnam, they must presume that you were exposed, and they must presume, if you are diagnosed with anything on their presumptive list, that it was caused by your exposure to Agent Orange.

Proving you were there is probably reasonable, since they are probably getting bombarded from all sides by phonies.

Not to say they won't jerk you around, simply because it is their culture to do so.

The fact that we had so much close contact with the bulk chemical means that we all need to be more alert than many for possible effects, and probably should make our doctors aware of the history.
