I enjoy visiting this site and reading the upbeat and often humorous chat between you guys and I surely do not want to say anything that would dampen that spirit, however, I do feel compelled to respond to your posting Re: Guns and Grunts. Take it from this grunt that it was not always empty brass falling on us. There was one incident in particular in September '68 that was up close and personal to me. I do not feel that it would be appropriate to go into details on this site, but believe me the aftermath was devastating. A memory that I will live with for ever. Again, my intent is certainly not to cause you guys any guilt trip. You had a job to do and you did it well, but please be sensitive to the feelings of us grunts who unfortunately sometimes ended up on the wrong end of your guns. Thanks from a fellow Texan.
