Ya know the feeling you get when you finally start to understand something, like someone just turned the light on? I don't know how many people really know what happened in Vietnam, but I didn't have a clue until this site and reading what you guys have to say. It's still hard to comprehend what you guys went through, and how can you compare that experience to anything else? But the stuff you put on here is better than any book thought of being!

Calling it several different wars in one really puts it in perspective better that's for sure. It's easier to visualize what was going on and what you guys actually did. The big picture must have been pretty confusing.

Even with several brothers in the service, the language you guys speak is, as they say, "Greek to me". So bless you for spelling it out a bit and answering questions. I'm sure there will be more.

One thing I like about "Chickenhawk" is how he gets into detail about actually flying the "ship". That must have been awesome(when you weren't getting shot at). I've had the good fortune to occasionally fly pipeline patrols to the Canadian border (four hours round trip) in a Jet Ranger. Only as passenger, but man there's nothing like it. I think of Marty, (and now you guys) being up there and how much fun that part must have been. I do remember he loved to fly!
