Ron, the "Nightstalker" special op guys today (in addition to Blackhawks and Chinooks) have new LOH versions that have more HP than our H-Models did. Picture that. They're so powerful they can put on swing-down "litter" type seats -external- that hold 3 or 4 whack-o type grunts on each side in addition to the slackjaws inside the ship, and crew and all the armament AND the nav and night vision stuff. Zowwee. I forget the designation... MH-500, maybe MH-600, whatever. Really slick stuff.

Plus they get to train and train and train with the guys they transport, get to work with 'em, same guys, every day. Slicker 'n snot.

I think if guys like you and I were born in a different time, a few years later, we maybe could be found somewhere near these machines, eh? Real near. The really good news is that the guys who came out of Vietnam and stayed in through the hard years later on built these units based upon what we all learned in Vietnam. That's pretty good stuff.
