I have no idea what is going on at the higher level, but it appears that the federal government is cutting down on benefits.
The staff where I was has had their work load doubled and their help cut to the point, that they are not able to do the job that they were hired to do.
They have cut the services from in patient to what they classify out patient treatment to keep from paying the out the $2100 for the 30 days of being out of the loop with no employment, plus there is no travel pay to and from the facility.
When you go in to be evaluated, you had better tell them that you have not worked for 2 years. They go back 2 years "2000" to evaluate your income and you had better not include your wife as having an income. With one dependent and less than 30% disablity, you had better not exceed $1200 a year income.
I went to the DAV Representative in the hospital and filed for a re-evaluation and gave the DAV "Power of Attorney" to help push the request along.
Gang, I'm telling you, if we don't ride our Congressmen and Representatives to stand behind us, our resourses are going to go South! We need to tell them that their support and their future now lies in our hands and they had better get behind us. If we don't, we are not going to have anything at the rate they are cutting things! That is fact!! We had better start or there will not be anything for anyone.......THINK ABOUT THAT ONE.....each and everyone of you should be spokesman for your area and be a burr in their ass!
