The only thing I have herd is that the Bike handels very poorly. You don't lean for turns you steer it. Also not much fun. If he is big enough to reach the foot pegs I would put him on the back.

My Grandsons do quite well on the back. Only problem is you need to make sure they don't fall asleep on long rides.
