Only had to smack him in the Helmet once. It was a very dark night and a hairy rescue during the Moonsoon season. Visibility 00000! He lost confidence in the insturments and that smack was just enough to give the Peter Pilot a chance to take control and return us to a reasonable flight attitude. We were about 10 to 15 seconds away from a 110 knot tree trimming followed by impact impact.
