From what I can find, The 81st Trans. Co (later 119th) Was assigned to the 45th BN (Later 145th) at the time of the Batallion's creation in July 1962. The 81st was listed as located at Pleiku RVN

Other sources show September 1962. I believe the July 1962 date as the LATEST date of arrival. Remember the 45th was created to provide Bn. level command for the companies. The companies may have been there earlier.
