LMAO That is a funny story. It's typical of the U.S. Army by 1972 or so. I was in Pre-vietnam Germany for a while in late 1960 and early '61 and back again for the Berlin wall crisis (14 months in all) and I saw the early build of of the New German army. Heel Snapping and "Jawol!" out the gazoo. They were disciplined soldaten.
