Bob,,do these monsters also live in brackish water? Am almost sure they are the ones that inhabited the back canals in Hawaii. We were canoe practicing 1 time and the men's eyes got huge as this fish followed along side our canoe. Said you did not want to fall in the water or tip the canoe here. When we were novice paddlers our "teen" coach dumped us in the same water and really got H... from the club coach cause he mentioned something about a very nasty fish there. Think this was it.
