Touch,
Now you need to add in the hour and a half in the morning to get dressed, eat and do a pre-flight. Then you have the thirty to forty-five minute shut down while the pilots are being briefed. The thirty minutes if you were lucky for lunch. Then add an hour and a half post flight. Another half hour to clean your weapon. Then about every sixth night you got to pull guard. That nine hours of flying all of the sudden turned into a 14 to 17 hour day. Thank God we were young. It makes me tired thinking about it. Remember LZ Cider? Out in the middle of no where. All sides dropped off into deep valleys around it. It reminded me of the evil witch's castle in Sleeping Beauty. Sitting in the dark shaddows, surrounded by unclimbable walls covered with giant thorns.
