34 Years ago today we lost three fine Brothers and a good aircraft.

The garrison at Dak Seang was under siege, and many of us were spending a lot of time up there, and at Dak To, Fire Base 6, Ben Het, and Dak Pek. Gator 586 was conducting an aerial recon for some mechanized infantry south and east of Pleiku, and just disappeared. The crash site was not found until the next day; the A/C, Jose Torres, was the only survivor.

The GIB's had both been around a while, the C/E, Stan (Dave, to his family) Wilenski having arrived in October of 1969, and the gunner, Larry Hensel, having arrived in September. The pilot, Chuck Businda, had been with us only one month.

May they Rest in Peace, and Never Be Forgotten.
