Well, now that you mention it, either one would be OK. Dad has a way with backhanded compliments when it comes to me. For example, just the other day when I was taking him to the hospital I pulled out my driver's license so we could get in the gate. Dad took it and said, "Wow! Is this you? It's such a good picture." He just kept going on & on about how good I looked in that picture, blah, blah, blah. I finally told him, "I don't think you're supposed to be that surprised." To which he responded, "Well, but you look beautiful here." I guess that means I normally look like crap.

Another example, when I arrived to the ER where he had been taken, Dad opens his eyes and says, "Boy, you look different. You like nice." Uh-huh. I must usually look like crap.

Gotta love my dad.
