I just heard that one today, myself. The fact is it shouldn't be too hard to verify. Most of the typewriters used back then were the early versions of the IBM Selectric, with the exception of in Nam, where there were still many of the none eclectric typewriters, though none of which would have the typical Micrsoft fonts. This was could also turn out to be something very interesting.
