Wrong. Even the IBM selectric with it's changeble little ball was not used in most headquarters until the later 1970s. BECAUSE MOST Typewriters were still part of the unit TO&E and were meant for field duty. Just Like Desk top computers never got to the main Army till later when battery powered Laptops could go to the Field Army BECAUSE they had to power them in the field.
In any case, The CBS/Kerry bullshi* is just that. a cobble of garbage from folks who hate the military and can't even forge properly. and Rather's scam fooled no one today. He is a disgrace to the "News" profession. as far as I am concerned he rates right there with Michael Moore. A PROPAGANDIST!
