I talked to Palmersheim about the exhibit. He said the Smithsonian put it in just as we brought it to them. sans guns etc. and they highlighted Marty's patch with light so the 119th got a lot of honor in the presentation.
Was the ship a slick? A medivac? the Museum does not say and made no attempt to arm it or anything. We delivered them a treasure, they took it and did not mess with it. They also posted a piece on Jane Fonda in which they state " Jane Fonda Supported North Vietnam during the war" I have not seen it , but if they did that ,it is the very first time outside Veterans groups that phrase has been used to caption a Fonda picture
Let's take a hard look boys. Lord knows I am a pretty radical SOB when it comes to the Nam stuff but maybe we got a decent presentation of our ship if not everything,and it will be there for 30 years!
