The last time that I was called for jury duty, I was selected as a jury member for a murder trial. As I was leaving the building after the selection, the Baliff noted that I was a Disabled Veteran due to the tag on my truck. The next morning I showed up on time and went into the jury room. I was told that I was excused from Jury Duty and I was released. The Baliff said that I would be paid for two days and that my name would be stricken from the Jury Duty Requirement. I haven't been called for Jury Duty since 2001.

Before that I had served on two juries, one of which was for a police officer who had been charged with physically abusing the victim. The tape showed that the officer was defending himself.
