Mark,

For what its worth "we", I think I speak for all of us who were there, never thought about tomorrow. We were young and immortal, nothing could hurt us. The only thoughts about tomorrow were the fact that it will come to soon. You could not dwell on the future only the present. We lived day by day and making it through today was good enough. When brothers in arms were lost and some times close friends we sometimes felt mortal but at the same time it made us more aware of the fact that it could have been me. Thoughts like these could not last you had to be at the top of your game every day that could not happen if you were preoccupied. When I finally left the flight line at the end of a day I was satisfied that all was ready for tomorrow and it was now time to unwind. Tomorrow is a CRAP SHOOT all you can do is be ready mentally, physically, and materially. Gator 297 and its crew had all that covered.

You have been to Battle and know that the "MAN" upstairs holds the trump card.

Tom Gator 851.
