My VA doc sent me to get a MRI Monday, and it's taken me until today to pretty well recover. I thought I had had one before but hadn't. I had a CT Scan. I'm not claustrophobic, but when that thing started making noise, it sounded just like miniguns going off and all of a sudden I was back in a bunker during a sapper attack. It was the worst serious flashback I've had in 20 years.
Needless to say, we didn't finish the MRI. I have
now identified one more thing I seriously have to avoid. I had to sit in my truck for 20-30 minutes before I could even drive home. I was just beginning to feel safe and that I might be done with that kind of stuff. No such luck, and now the sleep problems are back. Sometimes it just really sucks.
