Bobby Copher was my first gunner on Gator 834, starting about Dec 68; what a great guy. I never had a chance to know him very well, because I had spent the 2 or 3 months before at Dak To, and even tho I thought I had the mechanical thing down okay, I had almost no idea where to go with that as a crew chief. Bobby, in about 3 weeks, taught me how to be a crew chief. Then he went home, god bless him. I have never forgotten him.
