sapper attack on Ankhe

A while back Lumpy mentioned the '65 attack on Camp Holloway where some Hueys were destroyed. This is the more famous attack, since LBJ then started the bombing the North. So there is not much info on the Great Sapper Attack on Ankhe /Camp Radcliff. Could it be that the 119th lost more aircraft in one day/night than any other unit in the Vietnam War ?When I Googled this I was directed to a site on an attack in April 70 not Nov. 69. So, did the U.S. Army lose 30-40 helicopters in less than five months at the same base ?
Some more questions where the answers may not be known. Did the sappers in the Nov.69 attack cut through the Northeast perimeter as the famous Washington Post article report, or did they hole up in the abandoned Arvn compound, next to the 119th company area? How about the Post article reporting that a sapper climbed a water tower before being driven off ? Eyewittnesses don't remember this. Why did they attack the Hospital? Maybe thought it was the PX next door..
