Gene, there is a lot of confusion about all of the attacks you mention. The clearest is the Feb 7, 1965 attack on Holloway, well-documented. The two Radcliffe attacks in 69 and 70 are often confused with one another, even by some who were there for one or both, including 4ID personnel. Adding to confusion is the water tower story. One legend at Holloway was the dink sapper who climbed the Holloway water tower during Tet 68, and it took legendary Croc platoon Sgt. Basile Dolbejef to climb the tower and neutralize him.

It would take putting detailed accounts of both Radcliffe attacks side by side for comparison to sort things out.
