You will never regret doing what you are doing. You are calling on extra strength and prayer to help you with your life and then pushing just a little more. I know that your father appreciates the help you are giving him, but he finds it hard to express emotion due to experiences beyond our understanding and control. You also have picked up some of the traits of the PTSD that your father has, I would bet that your perfectionism is a direct result of his PTSD. I see the perfectionism in my children, as a result of my PTSD, in their pursuits. Believe me this is not saying something bad about you, it is only a trait of those who suffer as "Gomer" and I do and it is passed to the children.

Your actions now will be seen by your children and they will do the same for you if you need their support in the future. You are an example to be followed.
