Dave,

I don't really blame the guys that were in WWII so much as I do the way the reporters put their two cents into play. They were the ones that turned the tide against us. My father never heard of things like free fire zones or calling in to return fire. I some time wonder what the reaction would have been if D-Day had been on the 6:00pm news or some of the other battles where Americans lost lives.

I once had a person tell me that Vietnam really wasn't a war, at least not like the "Big One". I politely informed him that when someone is shooting at you regardless if it is fifty people or one person that was war. He begged to differ with me and thankfully my wife was with me so I didn't do what I thought would be a good counter statement. Since that time I just keep my mouth shut and listen. Nine times out of ten, the one that's doing all the talking proves that there are more horse's asses then there are horses in this world.
