Missed what Larry, I read your posts and I thought that I touched on everything that you said and even pointed out that I didn't want to shoot anyone.

What specifically hasn't worked, and why didn't it work? New Orleans? Do you mean that the FEMA support was blocked by the Governor, and the Mayor in order to force the people to leave? Do you mean that they had not prepared an evacuation plan or given any thought to getting the people out of New Orleans? Do you mean that you didn't know that the Governor didn't understand the intentions of the President so she blocked the use of the Louisiana National Guard to the Military personnel who were placed in charge of her area? Or do you mean that the funding for the inspection and repair of the levy around New Orleans was given to state political supporters as a political plum for appointed state workers? Did you mean that you didn't know that the levy's hadn't been properly inspected for years, because the monies had been spent on political activities (entertainment for the political party in power), guess which party that was? Do I need to keep going?

The current figure for illegal aliens is between 11 and 12 million for today, and if we don't stop them with the military it is gonna be a lot higher. The current word in Mexico is that America is giving amnesty to illegal aliens, that was on the news tonite. That is why we are having a rush on our borders.

I think that you may have proved my point. for the last 20 to 30 years, the Democrats have held the congress for all but 11 years and the Democrats have held the Senate for all but 5 years (2 during the time when Clinton was President and 3 since Bush has been in office). They have been obstructionists during all of President Bush 43's term in office, and they have been the major problem with our Government since 1960 no matter who was the President. That is history my friend, not saying the same old thing.

Look at what is happening today, the Republicans put out a bill to be approved last year that would block our borders and cause being an illegal alien to be a felony, but when the Republicans attempted to alter the bill to meet the requirements of President Bush, the Democrats have voted and blocked the changing of the bill. They are now voting for keeping the felony charges. Why? to make everyone think that the Republicans were not able to change, but they have been caught, and now it is backfiring on them. That is today's news my friend, no saying the same old thing over and over again. It is an annalysis of what is going on and the history of the actions of our government, who done what, with which, and by whom.

True, hammering away at the same subject is the only way to get anything done. O'Reilley started hammering away on the Border security over three years ago, Hannity and Colmes picked the subject up almost a year and a half ago. Numerous programs have shown the true impact on our economy, and they have shown the warehouses full of drugs and guns that have been captured. Now, the subject is in full view of our government, see television does do some good by reporting glaring problems. Now maybe something will be done. That isn't history, it is current events analyzed for you.

Bush brought the subject up to Fox, and Fox rejected him by quoting the laws of his nation, and saying that he could do nothing. That means that our government (the House and the Senate) has to get off of their ass and do something done quickly. This problem doesn't fall on President Bush, it goes directly to the people who write the laws, that means our House and Senate. To me, that means to activate the military, they are already trained at guarding, so let them guard us. Bring them back from Germany to guard our border (I am tired of sending our troops and our tax dollars to Germany to support their economy), and just think of what that group of 60,000 military personnel could do in our country. To top it all off, our nation would then be getting the rent from the soldiers living within our borders and buying our products from our stores, just think of the boost to our economy that an action of that nature on our nation's economy. Germany would collapse on itself without our money.

The above, along with my views on how to control the border, comes from my personal analysis of the news, history, and actions by various governmental agencies throughout the USA. I don't spout what others say, I do my own thinking. I do an analysis of the news that is presented by several sources and I then make up my mind on how I would like to see things get done. I do pass along my thoughts to the President and others, through the internet, one might say that I am an activist. AND I AM INDEPENDANT !!

It has created some energy hasn't it. That plus the subject is hot in the news. And, the report with the photos of the inverted American flag flying under the flag of Mexico started this thread.
