RandR

This was a real love hate relationship, you wanted to get away but you hated the idea of someone else crewing your bird while you were gone. Because most crewchiefs were busy with their own choppers they usually rotated personnel to crew. It was like leaving a wife that you had just started getting to love...Then there was worrying about your crew while gone, would they be alright, you prayed each night that no one would get killed while you were away "enjoying yourself". Made it damn hard to relax. I finally understand after thirty years why I have such a hard time not "being in control", it has to be my fault! When you got back from RandR and found everyone alive and well, that was the real treat. Wouldn't trade those memories for anything and also wouldn't ever want to try it again.
