My own experiences with the VNAF helo pilots was similar to Shoo's. In April of 70 there was a LOT of small and not-so-damn-small firearms putting up a lot of lead around Dak Seang; and the VNAF guys literally refused to fly support for their own people. So we did it for them. We turned a lot of Hueys into colanders, but didn't get anybody killed; tho' we had way too many too close calls. I never saw a VNAF H-34; by the time I got there they was all dead and gone.
