I do remember the "Hostile Fire Pay" was $65 dollars for everybody. I don't know what flight pay was for everybody else, but when I got to Nam in June 69 as a 1Lt, it was $125 and went to $150 when I made Cpt.

I doubt the debate over enlisted and officers will ever end, but the fact of the matter is there's good and bad of both, and everything in between. I started as an enlisted guy and made E-5 before I went to OCS. I had guys in basic, AIT,
OCS, Flight School and the 119th that I thought were the best there was as officers, NCO's and enlisted. I also had some in all those places I thought were the worst and was glad to see gone. I don't care what rank anyone was or what seat they sat in in the helicopter, my only concern was
and still is today, what was in their heart. The rest don't matter.
