Dave,

I think it may have been a toss up between 1st Sgt. Quinn and 1st Sgt. Wyatt. The look in Sgt. Quinn's eyes when he said something was enough to let you know you had better not screw-up. When I asked to go to the flight platoon, he looked into my eyes and said "What makes you think you could be a crew chief?" I said I would try the best I could and he said "That's all I wanted to hear".

I flew three or four times with Sgt. Wyatt. It was a little strange having a 1st Sgt. as your gunner. He played the game and let me think I was in charge while we were flying. He never fed us any bull-shit. You always got a straight answer from the man. He told me that he was going to be Sgt. Major of the army one day. If he had , he would have been a good one.

Greg would have been a good Top Sgt. I didn't even want to be assistant platoon sgt. To much work. I loved to fly and would have never given that up.
