Do any of you guys remember the lake that was near Pleiku, I think it was called Lake Bien Ho, or sumthin' like that. It reminded me of an beautiful alpine lake.

Major Youngpeter took the 545th up there on a saturday or sunday in April or May maybe June in '67 to "qualify" with our weapons.

We loaded our bunz and a whole bunch of ammo and beer into some duce-and-a-halfs, three-quarters and jeeps and took off. When we got there we proceeded to blast the "H" out of a row of 55 gal. drums.

Major Youngpeter loved the M79. I stood next to him and watched him drop round after round inside these drums at about 75 to 100 yards. When the ammo and beer were gone we headed back to Holloway.

I always wondered what it would have been like to wet a line in that beautiful blue water, I'll bet there would have been some real interesting fish in that puddle.

Hope I didn't drag this out too long, I have a tendency to blab to much.
